I work completely digitally using a drawing tablet and pressure sensitive stylus. I use the photos you send me for reference but never manipulate or trace over them. All my work is hand drawn - there’s just less mess than using traditional methods!
Because of my love of caricature I tend to ‘push’ - or accentuate - the features of the subject of my painting. This has the effect of making the finished work look, or feel even more like the subject than a straightforward portrait would. We can discuss how much you’d like me to ‘push’ the Portrait.
Once you are happy with my work, I’ll get it professionally Giclee printed by a Fine Art Trade Guild accredited printer - on top quality, thick archival paper. Usually, the image size is A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) or A3 (29.7cm x 42cm). The prints come with an extra 2.5cm border - to make them easier to frame, if required.
If you wish, I can mount and frame your picture too. I use acid-free mounts and frames with real glass in them.
For an insight into how l work, here’s a (very) sped up video of me painting a cool Cairn Terrier:
